Probably SightLine: The Chair

What is currently on the desk in front of you ?

Keyboard, Computer screen, Mouse and that kind of stuff

What was your first VR experience ?

Tuscany on DK1

Did you feel any sim sickness or do you ever feel any sim sickness ?

Only in the first days with DK1. Now even fast movement is fine.

What’s the longest amount of time you have spent in VR in one play session ?

About 6 hours.

What’s the strangest experience you have had with VR ?

Playing Sonic Generations with Tridef Ignition and seeing everything like miniatures.

What’s the funniest experience you have had with VR ?

Being a chicken in the Chicken Walk and nodding by tilting my head.

What game or hardware device are you currently working on ?

SightLine and VR Comenius.

Do you have a release date in mind for your project ?

Yes, but it keeps being pushed further and further as I fail to get resources and support for the development.

What is the biggest surprise you have had since you started to work in VR ?

That even simple scene looks much better when viewed through the Rift.



If you could only choose one game from your childhood to be remade for VR what would it be  ?

Sonic The Hedgehog

Besides games what do you think will be the most useful application for VR ?

There are multiple ones, like medical, educational or research.

What advice would you give to people on how to get into VR development ?

Make sure you’re willing to put a lot of passion and sacrifice into it.

What is your favourite VR related movie ?

Don’t have any.

If you had a crystal ball and could see 10 years into the future what developments in VR do you think will have happened?

The visual fidelity will have increased to the point that everyone just carries a small HMD around that plugs into any computer and replaces a multi-monitor setup, saving people a lot of space. People will be using VR for a lot things, not just gaming, but work, art or communication.

Outside of VR what do you do to relax ?

Read (e)books.

What’s your current favourite VR experience that you have not developed your self ?

Half Life 2 (with HLVR), including both episodes.

Transforming experience with long road ahead.
