Jaunt, the live action virtual reality content company, has just raised $65m in its latest round of funding.

The latest round of investment brings the total amount raised by Jaunt above the $100m mark, putting it up there with some of the most well funded VR startups thus far. Oculus raised close to $93m before being acquired by Facebook to give some perspective on the matter.

Among the investors were a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. This follows on from investment from companies such as Google Ventures and BSkyB in the last round of investment for Jaunt.

The investment is sure to increase Jaunt’s already fast growth towards becoming a tech powerhouse and as it stands, the investment will go towards further developing their Palo Alto team while also going towards their new Los Angeles studio.
