MircsoftVRKitPostMicrosoft has created its own cardboard virtual reality headset.

The Microsoft VR Kit is of similar mold to the Google Cardboard Headset. The display unit is driven by the Lumia device required to slot into the headset.

The first sign if this headset came from a promotion for an upcoming Microsoft hackathon where teams that perform well will receive VR kits for free. However, no further information is yet available on this so it’s unknown at this time if the headset will be available to consumers.

More news on the Microsoft VR Kit will follow as it becomes available.
