Sulon Q Amd Virtual Reality Headset

Sulon have announced the “Sulon Q” partnered and powered by AMD, this is the world’s first wear and play all-in-one, tether free headset for virtual reality, augmented reality.

Sulon Q gives you the freedom of a mobile headset with no tethered wires, and no external tracking system for movement, but still the quality of a high end device. Sulon Q has everything already built in, with a 2560×1440 OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, built in headphones that allow 3d spatial audio from AstoundSound® and dual noise-cancelling embedded microphones. The headset is powered by an AMD FX-880p processor set up to 35W, Radeon™ R7 Graphics, giving the Sulon Q console quality graphics compatible with DirectX® 12 and the performance of 4 compute cores, 8 GPU’s and 256GB SSD storage.

Enjoy both VR and AR capabilities with the Sulon Q allowing you to enhance the world around you in augmented reality by seamlessly transitioning from virtual worlds to the real world. The user can place applications windows in the real world around them giving the opportunity to multitask jobs. A Spatial Processing Unit provides real-time environment mapping and tracking, allowing a full interactive experience by not being confined to just sitting or the use of a controller to move around. Spatial redirection allows any user to have a real time walk around in a larger virtual world then their own room.
The headset comes boxed with a wireless Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit operating system pre-installed on the device. As of yet no price or release date have been announced, but Sulon have set Q2 2016 for launch.
